“I want to win this seat for Labour. With over 14 years membership of the Party, I have campaigned in countless elections and am dedicated to ensuring the Labour Party is returned to Government.

I grew up in Harrow, and went to Watford Grammar School for Girls before studying history and politics at the University of Nottingham.

From there I became involved in Labour Party politics, and I am currently the Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure, Equalities and Communities at Southwark Council.

I was previously the parliamentary candidate in Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner at the 2017 General Election, where we saw a 6.6% swing to the Labour Party.

I joined the Labour Party because I believe in equality of opportunity. Every day we are in opposition, the country suffers. We need the Labour Party in power. This Conservative government has been in place too long. It is time we took the future of our country into our own hands.”
